I've just installed on a new machine and again Npgsql is listed as 5gb+

This is a bug.

My point exactly.

I did notice that my initial installation of PostgreSQL was in C:\postgesql\

After upgrading to 9.2.1 there are also relevant files in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\

I wanted to test npgsql vs odbc.

I'll stick to odbc for now.
