Hi,

You need to write a query and click on the 'Execute query' button to get output.
Please refer to pgadmin documentation from here. You can also refer to youtube videos which cover most of the modules of pgadmin from here.

Subject: Further Assistance Needed with Query Tool in pgAdmin

Hi Yogesh,

Thank you for your previous response. I have attempted to follow your instructions, but I am encountering persistent issues. Specifically, when I try to open the Query Tool, a brief appearance of a revolving circle icon is followed by a flash, and then the screen closes with the message "! No data output. Execute a query to get output."

I want to emphasize that I've been following guidance from ChatGPT throughout this process, ensuring that I'm taking the correct steps. The query tool is displaying unmistakable signs of something being seriously at fault.

Additionally, I was unable to locate the Logging option as directed by ChatGPT:

Enable Query Tool Logging

  • Open pgAdmin.
  • Go to File > Preferences > Logging.
  • Set the Log Level to Debug.
  • Try opening the Query Tool again and check the logs for any error messages.

I wasn't able to find Logging in the File Preferences.

Could you please provide detailed guidance on resolving this matter?

It seems there may be a direct connection between the issue of no columns displaying when I view my database versus 29 columns visible when you access it, and the Query Tool malfunctioning. If this is indeed the case, then we are at least getting closer to identifying exactly what is wrong.

I'm considering reinstalling pgAdmin, but since my initial setup was correct, I'm uncertain if this will resolve the issue.

Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Reuben
