I have a problem writing in pgAdmin. when I want to write or correct something in code I have already written, new characters I put in erase what I wrote next. Hit the "insert" key on your keyboard again to turn off overwrite mode.
This isn't specific to pgAdmin, many text editors have overwrite and insert modes.
