it should say "Another development is the object-oriented database.".

"more modern" seems to imply "better" which may not be the case. "Another"
would be more accurate in my opinion.


It does seem a bit odd to call something modern/recent but to not update the section for 20+ years.  I don’t like this specific change though, it’s not obviously better than just leaving the status quo (and it doesn’t read well).  Modern can just mean “more recent”.
