Version 1.7.0 of PG Partition Manager (pg_partman) has been released.
Major new features include the ability to set serial/id partitioning to use the scheduled run_maintenance() function to create new partitions instead of relying on the partition trigger itself. This can greatly reduce contention on high transaction partition sets.
Other features include a better reindexing script to handle long or duplicate index names, handling partition sets that require having OIDs turned on, and analyzing the partition set whenever a new child table or constraint is created automatically to keep queries running efficiently.
