Things that'd be interesting:
1) what are the arguments passed to WaitLatchOrSocket(), most
   importantly wakeEvents and sock

wakeEvents is 8387808 and so is sock.

Tom, this bug doesn't occur with 9.4.4 (will try to download 9.4.5 and test).
