Could you please tell me do I need to reinitialize the hot standby server after I upgrade to the latest version? In the release logs it says a fresh base backup is only needed if the version is 9.1.10, but I had 9.1.9 and still had a related issue. I didn't power off Postgres on the stand by after I made a new fresh base backup.

We also have a hot standby server running 9.2.4 which shouldn't be affected and which was never powered of from first start, so I guess that server doesn't need to be reinitialized?

He's hitting the issue that was the raison d'etre for the buggy fix that
caused the issue discussed on that page... As explained in the message
you replied to ;)
