We have an issue with pg_archivecleanup and was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same.

We use pg_archivecleanup to clean up old wal files prior to the last base backup. However, if we have a lot of old wal files, it will only delete a few even though it echos the statement pg_archivecleanup: removing file "/opt/dbbackups/db1_wal_keep//000000010000013D00000079"

After all is said and done, we have to run pg_archivecleanup several times in order to clean up all the old wal files. It just does not take care of them all with one execution.

On a side note, these WAL files reside on an NFS share.

Just curious if anyone is experiencing the same.
