Hello,
Could pg_local_cache be added to
yum.postgresql.org? I am the upstream author and will maintain the packaging.
pg_local_cache is an open-source counterpart to KVik in Postgres Pro: it caches whole rows by primary key in
PostgreSQL shared memory and serves them over RESP2 (Redis protocol) from a background worker. Triggers publish
transaction-aware invalidation before commit, so reads never return stale rows.
-
https://github.com/profundium/pg_local_cache, MIT, current release 3.1.0 (also on PGXN, packaged by Pigsty)
- C/PGXS, PostgreSQL 14-18, amd64 and arm64; build dependency: libssl
- Requires shared_preload_libraries; the listener binds to 127.0.0.1 and requires a token (TLS optional)
- Tests: `make installcheck`, run as an autopkgtest via pg_buildext; upstream CI covers PG 14-18,
sanitizers and fuzzing
- Ready-made debian/ and an RPM spec are in the repository; happy to adapt them to pgrpms
Thanks,
Maxim Bronnikov
