Dear pgAdmin Team,
I hope you are doing well. I would like to report a bug I encountered in pgAdmin 4 related to the exit confirmation prompt.
When attempting to close pgAdmin 4 using the "X" (Close) button, the Exit Confirmation Prompt appears, asking for confirmation (Yes/No). However, if the user clicks the "X" button on the exit prompt itself, the prompt reopens again and again repeatedly, instead of closing or keeping the application open.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open pgAdmin 4.
- Click on the "X" (Close) button in the application window.
- The exit confirmation prompt appears, asking for confirmation (yes/no).
- Instead of selecting "Yes" or "No," click on the "X" button on the exit prompt to close it.
- Expected Behavior: The prompt should close, and pgAdmin should either remain open or exit completely.
- Actual Behavior: The exit confirmation prompt keeps reopening repeatedly, creating an unexpected experience where the user is forced to keep interacting with the prompt multiple times.
Expected vs. Actual Behavior:
- Expected: Closing the exit prompt (by clicking "X") should either keep pgAdmin open or exit without showing the prompt again.
- Actual: The exit confirmation prompt keeps reopening repeatedly, forcing the user to deal with it multiple times instead of only once.
System Information:
- pgAdmin Version: (pgAdmin 4 v8.14)
- Operating System: (Ubuntu 24.04)
Suggested Fix:
- Ensure that when the exit prompt is closed (X button), pgAdmin does not reopen the prompt repeatedly.
- The exit prompt should only appear once per close action, preventing unnecessary interactions.
