Hi

The next release of pgAdmin currently falls in the week of the 18th October on the normal schedule, however that is unlikely to happen as many folks will be at PGConf.EU 2026 then, therefore it will likely be a week or two later. In the meantime you can use a snapshot build (https://www.postgresql.org/ftp/pgadmin/pgadmin4/snapshots/) or stick with the older version.

It's worth noting that the CVE's fixed in 9.18 do not apply when using desktop mode with our Windows packages - they only apply in server deployments.

Regards, Dave.

Hi PGAdmin Team,

I hope you are doing well.

We are reaching out regarding the issue reported in pgAdmin 9.18. We would appreciate it if you could let us know whether a permanent fix or updated solution is currently available.

The workaround that has been provided does not appear to be ideal for users managing multiple database connections, as it could be operationally challenging to implement at scale.

Additionally, we would like to highlight that pgAdmin 9.17 is currently identified as vulnerable, which limits our ability to remain on the previous version as a long-term mitigation.

Could you please advise on the recommended path forward and whether a patch, hotfix, or updated release is planned to address this issue?

We appreciate your assistance and look forward to your guidance.
