thanks,
the command : ipc-daemon2 --install-as-service
ipc-daemon (1) is not running but the service was installed and after I
removed it.
regards,
Stef

Hi,
What is the command that you used to install the ipc-daemon2 as a service?
And is perhaps the old ipc-daemon still running?
regards,

Subject: [CYGWIN] Problem with ipc-daemon2 and initdb on windows 2000
Hi,
I can't start a initdb on my postgresql 7.4-1
Running system : windows 2000 (v5.00.2195 service pack 4)
Cygwin package information :
cygipc 2.0.2-2 ok
cygwin 1.5.6-1 ok
postgresql 7.4-1 ok
I install an try run ipc-daemon2.exe as service but it don't want run and
give me back an error with no message. I know that's the reason my initdb
fail.
Can somebody help me ?

Stef
