I created my account years ago, and I've just confirmed I can log in
with user name "maumau". But after logging in, the screen displays
"Maumau" as follows, which starts with a capital letter. Does this
help?

There's no Maumau account in the wiki. You need to log in once first,
which creates the account, and then the permission can be granted.
