Informix to some degree still exists (as a product, not as a company).
true, it hasn't actually been enhanced to any significant degree since
the IBM acquisition, but here at the day job we have rather a large
informix installation which is certainly supported.

so it's hard to actually buy informix these days, but ibm hasn't
entirely abandoned the legacy customer base.
