Excel 2000 has two options:
1. Select "Save-As" and then select "Save at type" = "Text (Tab delimited)"
2. Select "Save-As" and then select "Save at type" = "CSV (Comma delimited)"
If I remember correctly, earlier versions of Excel have similar options.
