Stephen,
It seems there are all sorts of problems that can cause the error you are
getting. Can you send me more info on your setup, specifically:
Your Windows version.
Have you installed MDAC 2.0 & DCOM 98?
Do you have IE 3.02 or higher installed?
Do you have MS Access or Office installed (if so, what version)?
Do you have any logfiles I can look at (probably only C:\pgAdmin.log I
guess)?
Regards,
Dave.

Beer can be a permanent solution, but only if you have enough of it!

In a word, no! I'll do a bit of research now, but my time is limited today.
I'm back in the office tomorrow so if needed I keep looking then.
Just as a bit of background though, ADO uses 'data providers' which are
interfaces between ADO and the data - these may be a simple set of functions
to access a text file, the functions required to access a proprietry system
or functions to access an ODBC datasource. It's the latter that you're
missing...
I'll let you know...
Dave.
