We are seeking an experienced professional who has a passion for building great products, and who has experience designing and building enterprise-class software products, end-to-end.
Senior Database Engineer
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Database Engineer, you will be responsible for schema design as well as implementing and optimizing complex database queries in support of MessageOne’s application suite. You will be a member of the core development team, but will work closely with Production Engineering with regards to analyzing and debugging database performance issues. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to strong cross-functional product teams. This position will be a direct hire/full time opportunity that will be located in Austin, Texas.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in DB-level development, including schema and query design and performance optimization
- Experience with PostgreSQL RDBMS
- Strong understanding of production DB administration
- Strong application-level design and implementation skills
- Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: Java, C#, C++
- Experience developing in both a Microsoft and Linux environment is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree
- Strong written and inter-personal communication skills
