Yodle is seeking a Data Architect to join our team in NYC. This is a fulltime role, onsite (no remote or freelance work)

Who are we looking for?
The data architect is responsible for the database design and operation at Yodle. The data architect will work together with software engineering to ensure that new features are built in such a way as to maximize the quality, usability, conceptual integrity, and performance of the database over time. In addition to new features, the data architect is also responsible for refactoring existing database schema in order to resolve performance issues, handle increased scale, or improve usability of the schema for developers or business users writing queries. Finally, the data architect will play a critical role in building and maintaining reporting systems to enable business users to extract critical business information from database systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing, updating and optimizing database schema in a software-as-a-service environment requiring frequent releases without downtime. Deep experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server are a strong plus. Scripting in any language (especially Python or Perl) is a plus as well.
