Hi ,
We have postgressql database installed along with HP NNM, as an embedded database.
The database is not starting up for some reason, due to which NNM is completly down.
I did check the pg_log, and i see the following lines:
2010-06-14 11:36:23.790 : postgres:1256:0FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "172.16.xx.xx", user "postgres", database "postgres"
2010-06-14 11:38:44.346 : :9456:LOG: received smart shutdown request
2010-06-14 11:38:44.346 : :1444:LOG: shutting down
2010-06-14 11:38:44.346 : :1444:LOG: database system is shut down
2010-06-14 11:38:45.375 : :9684:LOG: logger shutting down
I hope this might be the reason why postgres is not coming up.
From the HP NNM end, i see the following error:
6/14/2010 11:38:44 AM Connection test to database failed: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061)
Is the server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting
TCP/IP connections on port 5432?
Can you please look into this and reply ASAP, to resolve the issue .
