My machine is a 1Ghz G4 Powerbook. This machine was upgraded from
10.3.9 to 10.4 and then brought up to 10.4.1 through software
update. I have Xcode 1.1 installed and my gcc is:

mhixson@Titan:~/$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/3.3/specs
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1495)

So perhaps I should just upgrade XCode and that'll fix my problem.
