Well, we need a concrete list of things to beta test if we want people
to do this in any organized fashion.  It's easy enough for us to say "we
need beta testers"; but without telling our community *what* to test,
people just download, compile, do a select * from table, and say "it works".

Once we have a list, we can launch a simple app/wiki page where people
can report results of their tests.

Without all that, the task is too amorphous for us to expect much from
the community-at-large.
