After the earthquake that shook the city of L'Aquila and the entire
Abruzzo region, 2ndQuadrant Italia is pleased to announce the signing of
a collaborative agreement with the University of L'Aquila.
In assisting the university to reinstate its teaching program,
2ndQuadrant Italia will offer students a free and preferential
consulting service on PostgreSQL, the "world's most advanced open-source
database".
Students will gain practical skills and knowledge in installation
procedures, configuration and the usage of PostgreSQL.
The joint agreement will take effect from 1 October 2009 and has a
duration of 15 months.
Professor Paolino Di Felice is the contact person for the "Università
degli Studi dell'Aquila" while Gabriele Bartolini, 2ndQuadrant's
PostgreSQL consultant and president of the Italian PostgreSQL Users
Group, is the contact for 2ndQuadrant Italia.
Interested students are invited to contact Prof. Di Felice for
enrolments and further information.
