Can I recommend the Skylight diner? I've had other meetups there, and
for small to medium sized meetups (up to say 20 or so people) it's a
good place. Quiet, so we can hear each other, they have a nice back
area that we can sit in and get lots of tables together, and it's decent
diner food, which means that most people can find something there
they'll eat and it doesn't cost that much.
It's address is:
Skylight Diner
402 W 34th St.
Between 9th and Dyer (actually just one door from the intersection of
9th Ave and 34th St)
New York, NY

It's about a block from Penn Station, so it's easy to get to by subway-
take the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, B, D, F, N, Q, R, V, W to 34th St, or the
Shuttle from Grand Central.
For those new to New York, I'd like to point out www.hopstop.com, as an
easy way to figure out how to get from point a to point b.
