If your recordset is going to be not updateable,
you should try a dbOpenReadOnly instead of dbOpenDynaset.
In fact I would say dbOpenDynaset should be reserved for Jet datasources.
Make DML updates using individual UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE statements.
