jdbc3 and ResultSet.getFetchSize() - Mailing list pgsql-general

I have this code:
ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT attr FROM table WHERE id=1");
System.out.println(rs.getFetchSize());

rs.getFetchSize() everytime returns 0... why???
