org.postgresql is for JDK 1.0/1.1 or JDBC 1.0,
org.postgresql.jdbc2 is for JDK 1.2/1.3 or JDBC 2.0. The
make/ant build scripts in the driver's source tree should pick
the right version based on the version that appears to be
installed on your machine.
