hello every body,
i am trying to install postgresql on my machine but when i got to the
'gmake install' i received the following error.

./mkinstalldirs /usr/local/pgsql/bin /usr/local/pgsql/lib
mkdir /usr/local/pgsql
mkdir /usr/local/pgsql/bin
mkdir /usr/local/pgsql
mkdir /usr/local/pgsql/lib
gmake: *** [installdirs] Error 1

does anyone know why this is?
