Two functions, 'sleep' & 'free', which are used in libpq Sample Program
2 in the Interfaces section of the documentation, are not defined. Have
they been replaced? Code comments make mention that waiting w/ select()
would be more efficient. I don't understand this, though. How should
the relevant while(1) loop be rewritten?
