It may be a stupid question but I didn't find the answer in the docs!

I want to hold in a table column a complex reference type to some data
as a pair (table id, record id) and I had in mind to use a "point" data
type.

Now, I want to wind the right record in the right table in a SQL
sentence but I have to extract the X coordinate from the point (and use
it then to build the table name) and the Y coordinate to point to the
record ID. But I didn't find some functions for this. Any clue?

Or, is there is any other sollution for my problem?

Thanks in advance,
