SQL ODBC Interface Developer position Convergence CT (www.convergencect.com) is a global health information company founded in 2001 and based in Honolulu Hawaiiwith the goal of connecting technologies to manage and use big data to the benefit of patients, healthcare providers,researchers, and life science companies. CCT has implemented over 27 clinical data warehouse systems for 76 hospitalsand medical groups in Japan, Taiwan, China, Canada and the United States. We have embarked on a new initiative to interconnect and federate global clinical data warehouses in order to aggregate andprovide de-identified real-world healthcare data to pharmaceutical, university and governmental researchers worldwidein an easy-to-use, scalable, highly available, managed, controlled and audited way. Convergence CT is an OEM andISV partner of SAP using the SAP HANA database as well as other SAP components such as Lumira. We are looking for a softwaredeveloper experienced in the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) interface standard and SQL databases to help us developour next generation Global Healthcare Data Network (GHDN) platform. The position will be part of a new CCT Labs organization based at i-GATE Innovation Hub's new The Switch facility locatedin downtown Livermore in California's Tri-Valley. Our small "Lean Startup" team of experts will be designing anddeveloping the platform on AWS and in conjunction with application development teams based in Japan and China. Required expertise: - Experience developing or porting a PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SAP compatible ODBC DBMS interface (key requirement). - Expert in the Structured Query Language (SQL) as used by modern relational databases. - Experience with SAP HANA, IBM DB2, Oracle, or other leading commercial relational databases. - Experience coding using C and ES6 level JavaScript programming languages. - Skilled in software design and internally documented coding that others can easily understand. - Skilled using the Git version control system with JIRA issue & project tracking. - Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, and TCP/IP networking. Helpful expertise: - Experience with AWS cloud-based services including DynamoDB and Linux-based operating systems. - Experience with SAP HANA and related analytical applications. - Familiar with graphical data presentations tools like SAP Lumira or Tableau. - Familiar with big data, analytical applications, and related languages and open software platforms. - Familiar with Agile development and Lean Startup methodology. The position reports to Convergence CT’s CTO who will be actively involved and leading the efforts of a small design anddevelopment team. It is initially available as a 6 month consulting position which may be extended or transition to afull time employment if the match is right and effort successful.
