It is not that easy. I.e. most(if not all) world manufacturers of SDH or
DWDM technologies know that the data is very important. They know that at
certain time customers will want to have an access to *their* raw data, so
they all have (mostly limited) interfaces to their EMSes.  But they have
to be purchased for incredible ammounts of money. In such cases TelCos
cannot say: "go away"
