I've been asked to give a presentation of PostgreSQL to SacLUG
(http://www.saclug.org/) on Dec 10th, so I've begun looking for material
to include.
Based on some discussion with people there most of them are into
MySQL, so any numbers/comparisons would be welcome. I'm going to do my
best to avoid any 'Your DB Eats Dirt' sort of things, instead focusing on
what PostgreSQL does well.
I think I was the only one at Novemeber's meeting that uses
PostgreSQL (I use it at work, going to replace an Oracle7 DB), but there
were some big company folks there who are probably more used to dealing
with Oracle, DB2, etc.
Please keep me on the CC'd as I'm not subscribed to this list.
You want to know what the real kicker is? I don't even use Linux,
I've been using FreeBSD for years, but haven't had much luck with a BSD
user group in Sacramento :-/
