varlena versus null-terminated strings - Mailing list pgsql-sql

Hi Developers.

I think the problem is the input/output functions pass
CSTRING -- not varlena.

this waste all profits of using varlena storage
cause values are not transparently passed.
then application forced to convert them reverse.
