This discussion provides an opportunity to capture the
essentials of how to store and retrieve images using
PostgreSQL, and the issues (performance,
administration etc.) associated with each possible
method.
A discussion article on Techdocs (or even General
Bits?) would be a fine thing. My observation is that
questions on this topic are coming up on the lists
more and more frequently.
I'm not volunteering, not having the competence to
write on the subject. But maybe someone else will be
moved to attempt it.
