Debian packages of 7.1RC3 have been uploaded to the Debian experimental
distribution and are also available at http://www.debian.org/~elphick/postgresq
l

These packages are built for sid (Debian unstable); I am currently
trying to build a set for potato (stable).

Incidentally, when the next release is done, could we have a more
machine-friendly system of version naming?

We started with 7.1beta, then went to 7.1RC and will finish with 7.1.

These sort in reverse order to what is wanted! so I have to play
games with the release names to get them to work with the Debian
installer (7.1beta, 7.1cRC, 7.1final). Why not adopt the practice
of making odd-numbered minor releases be development and even-numbered
ones be stable? Name the final release of 7.1 as 7.2, go on with
developing 7.3.x and finally release that as 7.4.
