I did a search at packages.debian.org:

Debian package search results
Release Quality Package (size)
unstable 47% libssl095a 0.9.5a-5 (391k)
  SSL shared libraries
unstable 11% libssl096 0.9.6-1 (394k)
  SSL shared libraries
stable 5% libssl09 0.9.4-5 (350.2k)
  SSL shared libraries
testing 5% libssl09 0.9.4-5 (350.2k)
  SSL shared libraries
unstable 5% libssl09 0.9.4-5 (350.2k)
  SSL shared libraries

I will install libssl096, but you should be able to run with what is
available now.
