Adrian,

thank you. I'm sorry for stupid mistake.
I uninstalled 8.4. Trying to install 9.1 now returns

root@EEPOLDB01:~# apt-get install postgresql-9.1
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
postgresql-9.1 : Depends: libpq5 (>= 9.1~beta1) but 8.4.9-0squeeze1 is to be
installed
                  Depends: postgresql-client-9.1 but it is not going to be
installed
                  Depends: postgresql-common (>= 115~) but 113 is to be
installed
E: Broken packages

How to fix this ?
This is fresh OS install, only Postgresql server will run in this virtual
maschine.

Andrus.
