Subject: [INTERFACES] JDBC driver

Hi.
Is there any means of dowloading just latest JDBC driver from
postgresql.org
without using CVS ? And if just 6.5.3 driver version is here, what
about the
7.0 i heard about on this list ?

PM: Currently no. It's either by CVS, or the whole source in a tar ball
(try the 7.0 beta tar ball when they are released - tomorrow 15th?)

PM: I'm still working on getting the 7.0 driver done, but seeing that
I've had to re-wire the network in our machine room here, I've not had
chance to sit down in front of my home boxes for a week, let alone get
it ready to commit to CVS :-(

Finally, is there a way of using JDBC 2.0 core API and optional API with
JDK
1.1.7 only ?

PM: No. JDBC2.0 is a _core_ api of the Java2/JDK1.2 platform, and it
relies on features not present in 1.1.x
