No, it does on Linux. 5159 ? S 0:00 postmaster -i -B 1024 -S
-D/usr/local/pgsql/data/ -o -Fe 5168 ? S 0:00 /usr/local/pgsql/bin/postgres localhost httpd
apod idle 5169 ? S 0:00 /usr/local/pgsql/bin/postgres localhost httpd
apod idle 5170 ? S 0:00 /usr/local/pgsql/bin/postgres localhost httpd
apod idle 5171 ? S 0:00 /usr/local/pgsql/bin/postgres localhost httpd
apod idle
