Welcoming three new members to the PostgreSQL Community Code of Conduct Committee

The PostgreSQL Community Code of Conduct Committee welcomes three new members:

Semab Tariq, Senior PostgreSQL Consultant at Stormatics, bringing over 8 years of experience in DevOps, software packaging, and machine learning. He began his career as a DevOps Engineer, focusing on the packaging of numerous PostgreSQL-related tools. His contributions include building and releasing PostgreSQL community installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as PgAdmin installers during his tenure at 2ndQuadrant and later at EnterpriseDB. Semab is an active member of the PostgreSQL community. He frequently speaks at international PostgreSQL conferences, writes technical blogs, and conducts webinars to share his expertise.

Karen Riggs is now retired, but formerly worked in an operations and HR role for 2nd Quadrant until the acquisition by EDB. She then spent 6 months with EDB helping with the staff & financial transition. Before her work in the tech industry she spent 12 years in the NHS (National Health Service) as an Assistant Practitioner. Karen is based in the UK, and attends the annual PostgreSQL Europe Conference to meet with community members in-person.

Gary Evans is based in Australia and works extensively with enterprise PostgreSQL deployments, supporting organizations adopting PostgreSQL at scale while engaging closely with the open-source community. His work sits at the intersection of enterprise users and community practices, with a focus on professionalism, clear communication, and respectful collaboration. He helps organize PGDownUnder and contributes talks and participation at events such as FOSSASIA and various PostgreSQL Day (PGDay) events. He brings practical experience from leading distributed teams and handling sensitive issues, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, fair, and inclusive environment within the PostgreSQL community.
