For this purpose, bang for the buck would lead me to getting Dell
1850 with hardware RAID and U320 drives.  The quick-n-dirty tests
i've seen on the FreeBSD mailing list shows the disks are much faster
on the 1850 than the X4100 with its SAS disks.
