posgreSql doesn't start - Mailing list pgsql-admin

Hi!

The posgreSql doesn't start.
It had run for one year without a mistake.
My trial is:
$PGDATA/postmaster.opts* < -d 5
but I don't see the logs
in the /etc/log/messages  and /etc/log/postgres files.

My system is:
RedHat 7.0 on i486
PostgreSQL 7.0.2-17
Could anybody help me to find out the error?
