i'm trying to convert an oracle app to postgres, i'm not sure what type to
use for a binary long, i'd rather not go through the overhead/complexity of a
BLOB and i was hoping that the TOAST project would obviate that need, but i'm
still left with the question of how to store binary in postgres.
