Yeah, I'm going to stop for now.
Kurt sent me a copy of his patch - it's quite large (2329 lines of diff)
while mine is small (~120 lines of diff) and would conflict with what he has
done.
If his patch doesn't appear on patches soon I'll post it there, along with
my patch, so people can look at them and decide what is wanted.
