We are doing a search for a senior unix admin/DBA who is diplomatic, level headed, team player who has knowledge of various databases, in particular, Postgres and MySQL along with a strong background in Linux, FreeBSD and Apache. This person will be involved in creating scalable solutions from an operations perspective.
Will be responsible for tuning and installation of Postgres, application integration in to a large production environment.
Automation of application integration tasks utilizing various UNIX shells, C, and Perl. Will have some PM responsibilities--run through entire course of a project.
Creating tools and automating processes.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must have strong documentation skills
Must have experience with FreeBSD, Apache, Postgres and MySQL.
Must be team oriented and diplomatic.
Knowledge of Perl/CGI, C, HTML
Q/A experience a big plus.
