25.6. Checking Authentication and Authorization in PPEM #
Log in to the web application under a directory service user. The user must be a member of the LDAP group specified when configuring authorization in PPEM.
The login format depends on the directory service:
For OpenLDAP, a short user login is usually specified. For example,
j.doe.For Active Directory, a login in the
format is usually specified. For example,username@domainj.doe@example.com.
If authentication is successful, check authorization in one of the following ways:
In the top-right corner of the page, click the username.
The personal account will open. It displays the email address, job title, and assigned roles of the user.
If you logged in to the web application under a user with the
System administratorrole, in the navigation panel, go to Users. The table of users will be displayed. Distinguished names (DNs) of LDAP users are displayed in the Login column.
