15.1. Installing a DuckDB Extension (duckdb.install_extension) #
When you install a DuckDB extension, it is loaded automatically into every session that uses pgpro_axe. You can change this behavior using the duckdb.autoload_extension stored procedure.
To install known DuckDB extensions automatically, set the duckdb.autoinstall_known_extensions configuration parameter to true (default).
Required privileges: Postgres Pro AXE administrator only. For a full list of stored procedures and privileges, refer to Section 12.1.
Execute the following command on the Postgres Pro AXE server:
SELECT duckdb.install_extension(extension_name[,source]) ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING;
Where:
extension_name: The name of the DuckDB extension that must be installed.source: The repository with the DuckDB extension.Possible values:
core: The default repository of stable DuckDB extensions.core_nightly: The nightly repository of DuckDB extensions.community: The repository of community DuckDB extensions.
