Hi all,
Here is a list of articles related to PostgreSQL that were published in
French towards the end of last year.
This one is a summary of the 7.4 press release. It's short, but very
positive.

Apparently a much longer version complete with screenshots of one of
the GUI tools appeared in the paper version of the magazine, but I
haven't seen it.
Before that, the same magazine ran a comparative test of 4 open-source
DBs for Windows. The version tested for PostgreSQL was 7.3. Here are
the different parts of the article.

To sum it up, MySQL was considered to be easiest to install by a wide
margin (8.6 / 10 compared to 4.7 / 10 for PostgreSQL, the main reproach
being having to install Cygwin first). In the "features richness"
category PostgreSQL beat the other hands down, same for respect of
standards. Last category was "community", where MySQL again fared
better. It is worth mentioning that although small (and I would
"because it is small"), the PostgreSQL community was found to be
reactive and helpful.
And then there's a general article about companies adopting OS DBs:

PostgreSQL is mentioned alongside MySQL, but the terms are quite
flattering.
Cheers.
