There's actually something unfair about the comparison, in an "unfair
to Oracle" way, namely that he's using version 8i, which dates
back to the PostgreSQL 6.5 days ;-).
And vis-a-vis the comments about it possibly being not-permissible to
release numbers, it's quite possible that 8i is old enough that when
the guy bought his licenses, there wasn't such a clause in the
purchase contract.
And that's purest speculation, so it could indeed be not-permissible,
and the guy may look forward to having lawyers-with-samurai-swords
knock on his door ;-).
