Nobody knows yet what's wrong there or how to fix it.  This thread
is about Andrew's complaint here:
http://archives.postgresql.org//pgsql-hackers/2009-05/msg00003.php
which seems relatively straightforward to fix, or at least reduce
the probability of trouble to the vanishing point.
